Knights of Columbus, Council 8771, of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Community have resolved to recognize six well-deserving youth of our community on their path to a higher education with a $1,500 scholarship each.

We acknowledge there are many young men and women who have chosen to further their education and we congratulate and encourage them in this endeavor. Also, we acknowledge there are many in need of fmancial assistance in order to complete their path to higher learning. What we have resolved to do is provide a non-recurring scholarship to graduating high school seniors who meet the requirements and deserve the recognition for their scholastic efforts. The winners will be notified by the Grand Knight and the scholarships will be presented at our Officer Installation Banquet on June 30, 2012. The Sweetheart Dinner and Dance is just five weeks away (Saturday February 18 at Tin Hall, 6:00-11:00 PM). Tickets are $50 per person and are available now. This is one of our Council’s major fundraisers of the year and your support is needed. Invite your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors to join us for this fun filled evening. Tickets will be available for purchase at the meeting on Tuesday night or you may mail your reservation and check to Tim Wetmore, who will be keeping track of all reservations.

On September 11, 2011 , the Committee on Charters approved the establishment
of Christ the Redeemer Assembly No. 3310, Houston, District No.1 , Texas.
The council affiliated with this assembly is Anton J. Frank Council No. 8771,
Houston. With the establishment of this new assembly, the above-mentioned
council will be detached from Msgr William D. Steele Assembly No. 2033, Cypress.
